**[[About|CorruptipediA]]** **isn't just a wiki about Corruption. It's a new lens for seeing it.**
Most people see corruption as a simple bribe or a scandal. But it's much more.
CorruptipediA is developing a broader definition of Corruption and building a living map to reveal how different forms of corruption—political corruption, corporate corruption, and social corruption — connect to and reinforce each other.
See the system. Understand the problem.

We present a **[[Theory|Corruption Theory]]** consisting of 4 phases of Corruption:
**[[1.0) DECEPTION]]**
**[[2.0) DIVISION]]**
**[[3.0) EXPLOITATION]]**
**and**
**[[4.0) VIOLENCE]]**

**Some values strengthen our societies and are undeniably GOOD**, — values like:
<span style='font-size:1.2em; color:rgb(0, 112, 192)'> **TRUTH, TRANSPARENCY, JUSTICE, UNITY, BENEVOLENCE, and PEACE**.</span>
<span style='font-size:1.0em; color:rgb(0, 112, 192)'>They build trust, foster cooperation, and create a foundation for collective progress.</span>
<p></p>
<p> </p>
**And their polar opposites corrode our societies from within**;
— these are the forces of **CORRUPTION:**
<span style='font-size:1.2em; color:rgb(0, 112, 192)'>**DECEPTION, DIVISION, INJUSTICE, EXPLOITATION, and VIOLENCE**. </span>
<span style='font-size:1.0em; color:rgb(0, 112, 192)'>Where these take root, trust erodes, divisions deepen, and the fabric of society weakens.

"Exposing Corruption and holding the Corrupt to account can only happen if we understand the way Corruption works and the systems that enable it." (["Transparency International"](https://www.transparency.org/en/what-is-corruption))
This knowledge base is a tool to help the public identify and expose the sources and propagators of corruption in their local communities, so that they will be removed. It is intended to grow through decentralized contributions from users in each locality.
